Pasture

The horses are pastured as much as is feasible given their often agitated state. Some of the horses must be kept separated from the other horses, and it should be noted that stallions are never allowed in the yard when there are mares in season or other stallions around. There is a separate pasture for stallion exercise.

Students may visit their horses at pasture but are reminded to be careful because theirs aren't the only animals out of the barn and horses they aren't familiar with may be dangerous. Students and staff alike should be careful when approaching unfamiliar animals and may want to check with their handlers before getting too close.
